This is just a short video in response to a forum posting. Here you can see that the Panasonic's Viera functionality with the Yamaha receivers with HDMI. I have a cheap little digital cam but I show how you can turn the receiver on via Viera, you can change the volume via Viera and when you turn off the TV it turns off the receiver automatically. FYI, when you turn on the tv and then you go into the Viera interface and select Home Theater output the receiver automatically picks up on that and changes the receiver to the correct input setting as it is turning on.
